Ligia Araque

Born and raised in Honduras, Ligia moved to Minnesota in the summer of 2022. By December 2023, she had joined the parishes of Assumption, St. Peter, and St. Richard as Director of Administration and Accounting. Prior to this, Ligia served as Finance Director at the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center (MIWRC), where she managed budgets, streamlined account receivables, and ensured regulatory compliance.

Before relocating to Minnesota, Ligia accumulated over 11 years of experience at the Military Pension Institute (IPM), holding roles such as Treasury Analyst and Financial Analyst. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC) in Honduras. In her free time, Ligia enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching a good movie.
